My best friend in Boise

This is my friend that I pass every week on my way to church. When I moved out Kjersti and I were driving back and we stop at the corner and she says, "Hey Alicia, there's your best friend" I'm all looking around and saying, silly, they don't live out here, they are still at home until school starts. Anyways, she proceeds to direct my head to the llamas. . so everytime I pass by, I have great memory. Any they are kinda funny to watch.

September News

Well, it's been awhile since I've blogged...Let's see. Here is a current picture of me--I look good and CUTE might I add.

Prior to September 5th--I put my last day into work and am moving to Boise to work in the phone bank for Wells Fargo. I'm transferring.

September 5th--last day at Wells Fargo in Rexburg, ID. After work I left for Boise, ID. I'm moving into Steven and Tammy's house. I have a week off until I start my new job at the Wells Fargo Phone Bank in Boise, ID. From the house, it takes about 15 minutes to get to my job. AND I don't deal with much traffic since I go in at 12:30 to 9:00 during training. I will be in training for 6 weeks and then I go to the floor to take on phone calls daily. They say in a shift you will take about 100 calls. When I start my floor work, I will work 12:00 to 9:00. Not the best shift, but it's a start.

Week of the 7th--A week off with nothing to do is WONDERFUL. I thoroughly enjoyed just chilling at the house. I took a nap every day and it was divine. I helped Christ and Dawn move from one house to the other. Then Sunday went to the primary program for Porter, then traveled back to Meridian to watch the Primary program for Hayden and Bryson.

Week of the 14th--Started my new job. Wow, that is a long shift. With a week of naps, I got into so bad habits of needing a nap each day, but turns out it is right in the middle of my shift. Lunches are thirty short minutes, but I'm managing. To think I used to complain about having an hour and what to do. Now, not enough time. The drive isn't bad at all. It takes me about 10 minutes from the house to work and back. And I thought traffic would be horrible, bumper to bumper, but it's not at all.

I survived my first week of Phone Banking. It has been a little bit of a roller coaster for me, but I'm surviving. I was unable to get onto the computer the first 4 days of work. That was really annoying let me tell you. So I did a lot of watching and looking on. When I finally got on, it was amazing. But I felt so far behind.

The second week of training, we listened to phone calls to help us be prepared to take our own next week. Turns out they start slow by listening to calls, then take 2 hours of calls the next week, and then to four hours of calls, to taking six hours of calls, all with a phone banker coach--at least I'm not going slow to help real customers by myself.

I have been helping out where I can. I drove Bryson and his carpool to the house for preschool while Tammy was sick. They all called me Aunt Alicia like Bryson. Way cute. Entertained Cameron while Tammy held preschool at the house another week. He is a hoot. Cute little guy. So happy and content. Any chance he can get to be in my room he takes. Actually all the kids do...so adorable.

Going to the pumpkin patch with Bryson and his play groups.

I tried to find Wal-Mart by myself one night--BAD IDEA... I left about eight o'clock at night, not really dark but got dark quick. I was gone for hour and a half with much of the time traveling down the wrong roads. I should have just stuck to WinCo which is just across the interstate. But I made it back. not much sightseeing unless Tammy or Steven was driving. I'm ok just knowing how to get to work and home.

I am making a wedding cake in one week for my friend Rachelle and Burke. I was working on it last Saturday. Quite funny to me. First, Hayden and Bryson wanted to play the WII and the more chores they do they more tiem they earn. As Steven was heading out to mow the grass, Hayden says, "I'm ready to get my haricut. (that was the last thing Hayden and the boys had to do to play) so Steven turns back around to start cutting hair. I was making cakes and while the second layer was cooking, I volunteered to mow while they cut hair. As I was outside mowing, Cameron was FREE roaming while the hair cuts were going on. He was a little hungry and scooted the stool to the island. Got a plate out of the drawers and climbed up to help himself to the cake. Tammy was freaking out so brought him out to apologize. The way she talked sounded like there was a HUGE hole in the middle. . .Here are the results.

Actually the whole in the middle was smaller from taking it out of the pan, but with all the picking and taste testing, it got huge, but not from Cameron. He assisted the side, but I'm pretty chill with most things, so I just laughed about it to be honest.

Way cute if you ask me. So I decided to cut the cake in half and use it as a layer.

So instead of a 14 inch three layer cake, I did half of a 14 inch. it is still sitting in the freezer while I decide what I want to do frosting wise. BUT don't fear, I am making the 14 inch through out this week so it is ready to take over to Rexburg to assemble for the wedding on the 9th of October.

Here is Cameron eating the cake that was free game to all...

Different cakes I've made in the last seven months--

James' birthday cake in March. Little lego pieces.

Cake I made for Robin's Birthday on June 1st. It was so cute and one of my favorites.

Cake for Kyrie's Baby Shower--we both worked on it. Here baby was due July 4th, but came on the 6th.

Cake for Shannon, I visit and taught her back in Rexburg, ID.
